Before we look at Document Capture, it is worth clarifying what we consider to be a “document”. For some it can be as simple as a physical hard copy paper document.
But for most, this includes email, email attachments, PDFs, downloads, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint documents in all their native formats. This means, Document Capture will vary according to the origin of the document in the first instance.
Capturing paper documents by manually scanning them can seem an arduous and labour intensive task, but it really doesn’t need to be.
In the simplest form, we can show you scan workflows that will send your document to the right location whilst also making it text searchable (if it contains typewritten text) as part of the scan process. Usually this is as a searchable PDF, but could even be back to MS Word format, if that is what you need.
